Director – Structural and Enclosure Restoration
In this position the qualified individual will lead and shape the future of Suntaris Consultants while working closely with leadership. You will cultivate strong client relationships and build a high-performing team to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations, surveys, and testing of existing structures to identify and diagnose deficiencies contributing to damage or deterioration.
- Deliver projects meeting and exceeding client expectations
- Manage financial performance to meet profit and growth of business
- Manage project risks, mentor and support team members
- Lead business development efforts to grow clients and revenue
Qualifications
- BS in Civil engineering, with structural engineering as a focus area from a reputable institution.
- 8-12 years of experience in the field of Structural Engineering and in onsite assessment of structures.
- PE license
- Willingness to travel locally and out-of-home state (25%-50% of the time)
- Ability to manage complex forensics and restoration projects
- Ability to lead and motivate team members
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with decision-makers
- Strong time management skills, self-initiation, and reliance are essential skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
- Master’s degree is preferred.

Structural Renovation/Restoration Engineer
In this position the qualified individual will work with a Sr. Engineer/Project Manager to provide engineering/consulting services on diagnostics-related projects, including forensics, restoration, renovation and rehabilitation of structures such as office and industrial facilities, condominiums, and parking garages. Sound technical background and excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform investigations, surveys, and testing of existing structures to identify and diagnose deficiencies contributing to damage or deterioration.
- Critically analyze plans, specifications, and calculations prepared by others.
- Collaborate with a senior engineer/PM to develop restoration plans and strategies.
- Maintain existing clients and assist senior staff in promoting engineering consulting services to new clients.
- Assist and train less experienced staff in a variety of technical and administrative roles.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil engineering, with structural engineering as a focus area from a reputable institution.
- 3-7 years of experience in the field of Structural Engineering and in onsite assessment of structures
- Willingness to travel locally and out-of-home state (25%-50% of the time)
- Some experience in CAD or REVIT
- Experience with structural analysis tools/software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with decision-makers
- Strong time management skills, self-initiation, and reliance are essential skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- PE license is preferred.
